Career Technical Education Capstone Project
Digital Communications
At Galileo Institute of Science and Technology, I taught two CTE classes in filmmaking. I created a capstone project for both classes, advanced and introductory.
Students learned how to create films from pre-production through post-production, first writing, filming, and then editing five-minute shorts with the challenge of submitting them to a local indie film festival in the summer. The Digicomm class collaborated with the Drama class to film their shorts, gaining experience directing live actors. See snapshots of the process below!

Drama, Romance, Slice of Life
This film is by one of my advanced students. It's about a girl who struggles with her self-identity and explores themes that a lot of high school seniors can relate to.
